16S Microbial ID Kit* Analyze 96 samples on your Illumina MiSeq

Rapidly and easily identify bacteria and archaea using your existing sequencer.

BioID Genomics

Identifying prokaryotes has never been easier.

The 16S Microbial ID Kit* is a 16S sequencing kit that allows for hypothesis-free, efficient, rapid, minimal hands-on-time detection and identification of prokaryotes on your MiSeq. The “Platinum Standard” for microbiology has arrived where hypothesis-free microbial identification is now possible for your samples. Assume less and learn more about what is in your samples.

Amplify and index in a single step.

The 16S Microbial ID Kit* uses a unique indexing and amplification strategy that replaces existing library prepration. No need for oligo-hybridization or two-step index methods. No need to purchase a library preparation kit. The easy-to-use PCR plate system allows for reliable sample indexing and amplification. After the One-Step amplification, your DNA is library and sequence ready.

Bioinformatics in a box.

The 16S Microbial ID Kit* includes access to the RIDI™ (Rapid Infectious Disease Identification) cloud-based analysis system. Upload your raw sequence data and demultiplexed results are on the way. The RIDI™ software uses industry standard methods to accurately identify the microbes to the lowest taxonomic level, maintain relative contribution of each organism, and configurable reporting options. No need to develop your own bioinformatics solution or pipeline, it comes in the box as part of our 16S sequencing kit.

BioID Genomics

We have included everything you need for quick and reliable results with the 16s sequencing kit. Improve the efficiency of microbe detection and identification with this easy-to-use kit. You don’t have to worry about plate hybridization or two-step indexing — instead, you can get right to work testing a wide range of samples.

The 16s sequencing kit takes a unique approach to sequencing that can save you both time and money. With this kit, all pre-sequencing can be done as quickly as three hours. Whether you need to test environmental, biological, mixed, or pure microbial cultures, rely on the 16s sequencing kit.

Innovative Solutions

At BioID Genomics, we have over three decades of experience developing sequencing systems and software technology. We strive to offer reliable and proven solutions to help you detect, identify, and characterize microbes in the cultures you need to test.

Capable of up multiplexed detection for 96 samples, this sequencing kit can help make testing and analysis a breeze. Order the 16s sequencing kit today or call (480) 530-0930 to learn more. We are happy to answer any questions you have. Learn what is in your samples with the help of BioID Genomics and help us change microbiology.

BioID Genomics

The 16S Microbial ID Kit workflow is a streamlined process. Start with total Extracted DNA from your sample(s) of interest. This DNA does not need to be from pure culture and can come from environmental or high host contribution materials. Ready-to-sequence pre-indexed amplicons are generated during the One-Step Amplification and Indexing reaction. After a bead-based normalization step, your library is ready to sequence using your existing MiSeq. Once complete, upload your raw data to the RIDI™ cloud for demultiplexing and analysis. Get the most out of your data using our powerful visualization tools, useful library navigation, and customize-able report options.

BioID Genomics

The core innovation of the 16S Microbial ID Kit are the two, ready-to-use, PCR amplification plates that allow for rapid sample processing and simultaneous indexing. Up to 96 individual samples may be prepared simultaneously. Flexibility is on your side as the user may split the kit and use a single PCR plate and allow for two 48 sample runs. The unique indexing strategy ensures the quality of the results are not impacted when fewer than maximum samples are tested.  Indexing and sample preparation is as simple as a PCR.
